Oppo last week unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Oppo Watch X, which is set to rival flagship options from Samsung and Google.
While Oppo already has a good number of smart wearables in its portfolio, the Watch X stands out with its premium design and affordable price point.
The Oppo Watch X is identical to the OnePlus Watch 2 which was also unveiled last week at the MWC in Barcelona, Spain, down to the design and specs. The two watches are actually the same device with different branding.
One of the main highlights of the Oppo Watch X is its elegant and classic design. The round dial features flush buttons on the right, giving it a sophisticated look.
The wearable comes in two colors: Platinum Black and Mars Brown. The Platinum Black has a simple yet eye-catching look, while the Mars Brown leans more towards classic looks. Both colorways feature a durable stainless steel chassis that can withstand day-to-day abuse, making it perfect for everyday adventures.
What sets the Oppo Watch X apart from other smartwatches is its sapphire crystal glass. This glass is over 8 on the Mohs scale of hardness, offering 400% better drop resistance and 50% improved puncture resistance than regular watch glasses.
The Watch X has also gone through 16 MIL-STD-810H tests and passed all of them with flying colors. It has IP68 and 5ATM waterproof resistance ratings, making it an easy choice for adventuring in challenging environments.
In terms of features, the Oppo Watch X offers everything you would expect from a high-end smartwatch. It has a heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, and various fitness tracking modes.
It also has NFC support, allowing users to make payments using their watch. Additionally, the Watch X runs on Wear OS, one of the most flexible and feature-packed wearable operating systems around. This means that you can easily run popular fitness applications like Strava or Samsung Health which are only compatible to a limited number of smartwatches.
