Akua Owusu-Nartey Promoted to Chief Client Officer and Head of Connected Culture
But that’s not all – Akua will also be taking on the role of Head of Connected Culture, a vital responsibility that involves working closely with the Leadership and People Teams to bring Ogilvy’s defined belief system and values to life within the agency. This focus on a “Connected Culture” aims to create a thriving work environment that fosters collaboration, growth, and success.
Vikas Mehta, CEO of Sub-Saharan Africa for Ogilvy, expressed his confidence in Akua’s capabilities, saying, “Akua’s experience, focus, and leadership over the past seven years leading our business in Ghana and West Africa will be instrumental in partnering optimally with our clients for their present and future success.”

Akua’s new role as Chief Client Officer takes effect on 1st August, 2023, and she will continue to be based in Accra while collaborating with colleagues across Sub-Saharan Africa to drive the agency’s triumph within the region.

As Managing Partner, Cathy will play a pivotal role in implementing effective, integrated marketing strategies that span across advertising, social media, digital, and PR channels. Collaborating closely with clients and colleagues, she will craft united marketing solutions that align with business objectives and drive results.
