In a remarkable display of excellence and recognition in the banking industry, Equity Bank and KCB Bank emerged as top winners at the prestigious Think Business Banking Awards 2023.
The event celebrated the achievements and contributions of leading banks in Kenya, showcasing their commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.
Both Equity Bank and KCB secured multiple awards, solidifying their positions as industry leaders. Equity Bank, a true powerhouse in the Kenyan banking landscape, once again reigned supreme at the Think Business Banking Awards.
The bank claimed an astounding twelve awards, including the prestigious title of Overall Best Bank in Kenya for an unprecedented 12th consecutive year.
This remarkable achievement reflects Equity Bank’s unwavering commitment to sustainable financial practices and its position as an industry leader.
The awards for Equity Bank spanned numerous categories, demonstrating its exceptional performance across various sectors.
The lender secured top positions in categories such as Mobile Banking, Customer Centricity, Digital Banking, Retail Banking, Trade Finance, Agriculture and Livestock Financing, SME Banking, Agency Banking, Product Marketing, and Internet Banking.
Additionally, Equity Bank received a Special Judges Award for Product Innovation, specifically for its contribution to championing clean energy access through the Equity Group Foundation.

KCB Bank Kenya, together with the National Bank of Kenya (NBK), which is a subsidiary of KCB Group, clinched an impressive total of seven awards at the Think Business Banking Awards 2023.
KCB Bank was honoured with the title of Best Bank in Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility, highlighting its dedication to creating a positive impact on society.
Furthermore, KCB Bank secured the first runners-up position in the Best Bank in Digital Banking, Retail Banking, and Customer Satisfaction categories, underscoring its commitment to delivering exceptional banking experiences for its customers.
Mrs. Annastacia Kimtai, the Managing Director of KCB Bank Kenya, expressed her delight at the recognition, stating that the awards are a testament to the bank’s unwavering support for inclusive growth across all customer segments.
