Tecno has been making waves in the Kenyan smartphone market for years, and its latest announcement is sure to grab the attention of tech enthusiasts and content creators alike.
The company has unveiled popular Kenyan musician, Nyashinski, as the brand ambassador for its highly anticipated Tecno Camon 20 series.
Tecno in a statement to the media says, “Nyashinski is known as a renowned creative, artist and philanthropist who has made a significant impact in their field and shares our commitment to excellence and our vision for a better world. We believe Nyashinski embodies the spirit of our brand and will help us reach new audiences.”
The Camon 20 series includes four devices, the Tecno Camon 20, Tecno Camon 20 Pro, Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G.
Speaking during the pre-order announcement event, TECNO Kenya Brand Manager, Peter Shi said,
“We are thrilled to have Nyashinski join our team and to offer our customers the opportunity to pre-order the new CAMON 20 series. Our team has worked hard to create a phone that meets the needs of our customers, and we’re excited to see the response to this new product.”
While the company has kept most of the devices’ features under wraps, it has been revealed that the series targets the fashionable segment of society and content creators. Dubbed the “Video Master,” the devices boast a 108 MP Ultra Wide Camera, which is sure to elevate users’ content creation game.
In addition to the powerful camera, the Camon 20 series features an AMOLED screen and Tecno’s recently released Magic Skin cover.
The Camon 20 is already a gold winner in the MUSE Design Awards 2023 under the Product Design Telecommunications category.
The retail price of the device has not been disclosed yet and is expected to be revealed during the launch next week.
The pre-order period for the devices started today and will run until May 17th, 2023. The devices will be
available for purchase on 18 th May 2023.
To pre-order any device in the series, customers need to pay Ksh 5,000 and pay the rest when the devices are launched. Pre-order customers will also receive a gift pack with their new devices.
