I recently unboxed the new OPPO Reno8 T 5G, which is the latest addition to the Reno8 series. The most outstanding feature of the device for me is definitely the 108MP portrait camera. It also features a 32MP front camera, set at the centre of the screen, an additional 2MP macro camera, and 2MP ultrawide camera at the back.
It comes with 8GB RAM (extendable with up to 4GB of virtual memory) and 256GB Memory. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G Octa-core processor and packs a 4800 mAh battery with a 67W flash-charging capability.
The display is a curved 6.7in 3D screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on ColorOS 13 based on the latest version of Android 13.
The power button sits on the right side of the device with volume controls on the left. I like that the front camera on this device, unlike in the other Reno series, is right at the centre of the screen as opposed to the top left corner.
At the bottom of the device sits the microphone, a sim card tray, a Type-C port, and the speakers. You will note that OPPO has done away with the 35mm earphone jack port which means you will only connect Bluetooth earpods to this device or use a USB type-c to 35mm jack port connector if you want to use wired earphones.
The OPPO Reno8 T 5G will be officially unveiled at an online event on the evening of 16.02.2023. Please check out the OPPO Kenya social media pages for more details.
