KCB Bank has been named the Best Investment Bank in Kenya 2022 and second-most Valued Banking Brand in Kenya by Global Finance Magazine and Brand Finance respectively.
Brand Finance, a London-based leading brand valuation consultancy, ranked KCB second in Kenya with a brand value of US$ 338 million. The top raked banking brand in Kenya had a brand value of US$ 388 million.
Brand Value is described by Brand Finance as the net economic benefit that owners would achieve by licensing their brand in the open market. It is however different from the valuation of a company’s hard assets.
Globally, KCB was ranked position 366 out of the world’s most valuable banking brands.
The two awards have recognized the efforts being put in place by KCB Bank to stimulate economic growth following the challenges the world has encountered from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The bank put in efforts to support MSMEs when the pandemic hit in an effort to cushion and offer relief to customers.
KCB Group and CEO Joshua Oigara said, “In the past year, we have continued to put in effort into different sectors to help revamp the economy that was greatly affected by the pandemic. We have invested in our societies through different initiatives such as our 2jiajiri and, Mifugo ni Mali programme. We are grateful that our efforts are been recognized.”
The Bank is continuously investing in mobile and internet banking as a move towards safer, easier, and secure way of transacting.
