Doris Akol, an adjunct faculty member at Strathmore Business School’s SBS Uganda Leadership Development Academy has been appointed as the Technical Assistance Advisor at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law Practice from the Law Development Centre, Uganda. She also holds a Master of Laws Degree from McGill University in Canada.
Doris boasts of over 25 years of experience in taxation policy and administration. Prior to her appointment, Doris previously served as the Commissioner-General at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) between 2014 and 2020. She also serves as a Partner at Kyagaba & Otatiina Advocates (Dentons Uganda).
