Kapa Oil appoints Ogilvy Africa as its full-service marketing agency

Kapa Oils Refineries Limited, a leading manufacturer in household products in Africa has today announced the appointment of Ogilvy Africa as its creative, digital and media buying agency. The mandate would be run by the Kenya offices of Ogilvy Africa, based in Nairobi.

The agency was appointed after a competitive selection process and will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning and executing of marketing strategies with Kapa across its portfolio of brands.

Over 60 years of its operations, Kapa Oils has become a household name and is involved in manufacturing a wide range of fast-moving consumer goods. The company serves 18 countries in Africa as it continues to position itself as a leader in quality brands across the continent.

Kenya is the largest office of Ogilvy Africa where a multi-disciplinary team of experts, led by Managing Partner Grace Waweru, is being deployed to work with the marketing team at Kapa. The team comprises of brand strategists, creative directors, social media experts, data-analysts, media planners, buyers and project managers. Ogilvy Africa is also deploying a part of its product-stack for social intelligence along with several data and technology tools.
