Nairobi, Wednesday 30th October 2019– Silverstone Air has in the past two weeks attracted media attention following the events involving our aircraft. The safety measures we employ in our aircraft ensure that our esteemed customers and crew are safe; so, it is without a doubt that these recent occurrences weigh heavily on us as a company.
When the company was set up two years ago, our vision was to provide Kenyans with affordable air travel without compromising on safety, quality and integrity. We are here to assure you that this has not changed.
Since inception, we have carried over 1 million passengers safely in over 10,000 flights. We operate 14 daily flights to and from various destinations around the country and we have done this safely for the past two years.
The Silverstone Air team comprises of qualified, well trained and dedicated pilots, cabin crew, dispatchers and support staff including qualified engineers who undertake the maintenance of its fleet.
Regarding the recent occurrences, we are co-operating fully with the investigation being conducted by both the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID), and we will continue to use every resource at our disposal to assist and work with investigators to determine what happened.
In the meantime, rest assured that all our aircraft will continue to be held to the highest possible safety standards and safety actions have been taken with the intention of preventing a recurrence.
