NAIROBI, 23RD AUGUST 2019: Golden Ice Bistro located at Nextgen Mall on Thursday night played host to Arrow Bowy’s Hatua Album listening party.
The artist who started performing a few minutes to 11. 00 PM was on stage for well over an hour with fans screaming their hearts out as he belted hit after hit of their favorite jams backed up by Dynamics Band.
The artist also performed for the first time two songs in the album that will be released at his launch slated for 30th August at the Carnivore Simba Saloon. The new jams include Aje which is a prayer song thanking God for how far he has brought him in the industry and for his fans.
Safari which is another new jam in the album is a story of his musical journey. Unknown to many, Arrow Bwoy worked at Nairobi’s City market selling meat. Angelina, another new song on the album is a tribute to Kenyan women, appreciating their beauty.
Collabos
The new album features a couple of collaborative works with top Kenyan artists including Wyre. The fans went wild when Fena Gitu got on stage to perform Ride , a song they did together.
Chris Kirwa of Cate Chris Limited who is one of the sponsors of the listening party promised to avail Golden Ice Bistro tao Kenyan artist looking at hosting listening parties every Thursday.
“I want to appreciate you all for turning up in large numbers to support local talent, and on our part, we want to put the word out there that we are willing to work with any artist who needs our support,” said Kirwa.
The event was graced by industry heavyweights such as Sudi Boy, Joe Muchiri, Willy M Tuva, Timmy Tidat, Naiboi, and Dufla. Others industry players who attended the event include Peter Nduati of Resolution Group, Ciggie Johnson of Kisumu’s Izone Entertainment, and of course myself representing Homeland Events.
