We see ourselves are a democratic society – a society that appreciates the majority view to carry the day but also letting the minority have their way. The party primaries however tell a different picture – both ODM and Jubilee Party have openly defied the principles of democracy as it were and opted for a version they call “guided democracy.”
In my first ever Podcast I question these parties’ moral authority in demanding for free, fair and credible national elections when they do not uphold the same principles within their political parties.
