Blogging has revolutionized how we consume media content in Kenya. Kenyans have moved from relying on dailies for news and information to consuming top quality content online from individual bloggers. To promote quality content, the Bloggers Association of Kenya organizes annual Blog Awards which reward content generators who put a little more effort in their quest to be an alternative source of credible information.
Each year you take part in selecting Kenya’s top blogs by nominating and voting for four favorite blogs. This year is no different.
The nominations phase of 2017 Blog Awards started on January 9th and will run until the 10th of February 2017. There are 20 different categories you can nominate your favorite blogs for including the all-new “Best Lifestyle Blog.” Other categories include photography, food, travel, entertainment, business, fashion, county and politics blogs among others.

The 2017 Blog Awards also have a new rule that will bar winners who have previously won three or more awards from participation. This will provide audiences with an opportunity to discover new bloggers in various segments.
The 6th Edition of the Blog Awards Gala will be held on the 13th of May 2017.
