This September the husky voiced Zimbabwean singer Oliver Mtukudzi will be performing in Kisumu for the first time. The musician who has pulled huge crowds on several occasions in Nairobi will be performing at a high end concert to be hosted at Acacia Hotel’s Aqua Bar.
A source from the hotel intimated to Ominde’s World that the exclusive concert was made possible by comedian Jalang’o. The event will only be open for 500 guests who will first grab the tickets that are already on sale for Ksh. 3,000.
Tuku will be backed up by Kisumu songstress Suzanne Owiyo of Kisumu 100 and Siyo kosa langu fame. New kids on the block “The CBK” who just released a new song dubbed Rhasukha murwe after releasing Siro which was quite well received in Kisumu will also be sharing the stage with the maestro.
Oliver Mtukudzi is Zimbabwe’s most renown musician internationally. His famous hits include Todi, Neria and Hear me Lord. He boasts of 56 music albums in his career spanning 39 years. Other than music, he is a human rights activist, UNICEF goodwill ambassador for Southern Africa, businessman and philanthropist.
