Urban Radio presenters Grace Makosewe and Brenda Ntwatwa on Friday last week distributed a year’s supply of sanitary towels to five schools in Migori County. Learners from Kolwal, Lwala, Ober, Osogo and Kanyakech Primary Schools benefited from items that were distributed in partnership with Oyani Health INC Director, Dr. D.J Onunga.
Apart from distribution of the towels the students also benefited from reproductive health education and mentorship from the two presenters as well as Dr. Onunga who accompanied them to the schools.
The project aims to reduce cases of HIV/AIDs through sex educationas well as empowering the girls to make right choices when it comes to their sexuality.
